This course provides you with the opportunity to extend your understanding of project management by establishing a deep foundation knowledge base of the theoretical principles as well as the practical application of project management. The course consists of coursework that explores the principles of project management as based on recognised international standards, guidelines and frameworks. Examples of different project domains are explored through case studies. Each case study enables you to explore the application of project management closely aligned to your chosen career path. The course develops technical skills in the initiation, bidding, tendering, planning, design, procurement, execution, reporting, commissioning, hand over, and post project support of projects. Human skills in stakeholder management, communication, team building, negotiation, and the avocation of ongoing professional career development are integrated into the coursework material and assessments. Finally, the systems perspectives of project and program management are investigated with respect to the applications systems, information, and knowledge that is required to achieve effective project, program and portfolio management in modern organisations.

The Graduate Diploma in Healthy Ageing will focus on issues surrounding healthy ageing. It examines complex concepts that can be immediately applied in practical situations when caring for anyone who is interested in healthy ageing. It encourages critical investigation into the impact of the rapidly expanding ageing population nationally and globally ensuring that you graduate with advancing knowledge and skills to apply a holistic approach to the care of ageing persons, regardless of community in which they reside. This course is aimed at those currently or planning to be working in the health care, welfare sector or area planning to meet the needs of the ageing population. Graduate Diploma of Domestic and Family Violence Practice

The Graduate Diploma in Domestic and Family Violence Practice will provide the opportunity for you to develop advanced industry-related knowledge, skills and competencies to respond to domestic and family violence. This course will meet the gap in post-professional education for the domestic and family violence sector as noted, for example, in the ‘Not Now Not Ever’ report of the 2015 Queensland Domestic Violence Taskforce and in Australia’s National Plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and their Children (2010).
