Contact Future Students for more information.This course provides graduates trained in psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, paediatrics or psychiatry with the specialist knowledge and clinical skills required to participate in team-based diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Two coursework units provide in-depth knowledge of ASD concerning characteristics across the lifespan, common comorbidities, current theoretical accounts and issues, Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) and International Classification of Diseases (ICD) diagnostic criteria, differential diagnosis, assessment tools and multidisciplinary team assessment. One practical unit provides training in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule and another provides graded practical experiences leading up to the trainee conducting a discipline-specific component of a diagnostic assessment.

It offers an opportunity for individuals to gain skills and knowledge to tackle the current challenges and opportunities that come with the uptake of clean energy and distributed renewable energy in microgrids. The course draws on content from across engineering disciplines to provide breadth and depth and addresses four key areas: (i) renewable energy sources and generation; (ii) energy storage systems; (iii) energy transmission and distribution, including smart grids and microgrids; and (iv) the main drivers and policies that impact the adoption of clean energy.

As we enter the golden age of gas, natural gas is the primary focus in the course, both its extraction and subsequent conversion to Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). This is supplemented by an extensive consideration of gas economics, designed specifically for engineering practitioners, as well as a detailed hydrocarbon field development exercise with strong industry involvement. The course is in sync with the rapidly expanding natural gas and LNG industries in Western Australia.

A student who has completed some studies in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics to an appropriate level within their undergraduate bachelor's degree may be eligible to have these studies recognised, reducing the length of their course.
